The first day is done. Dinner consisted of a tomato-cucumber salad and a baked potato. One innocent of dressing; the other innocent of butter and salt. We did use Trader Joe's 21 Season Salute on the potato and that was fine. I still miss the clarified butter and sea salt. Mom fixed a dressing for the salad. It was apple cider vinegar and basil pureed together. I tasted it and it truly was a no go. That's ok, though, because the salad is not dry so you don't really need any. Although, I think a light vinaigrette would be divine. And a smidgen of salt.
Had the Hippo soup for lunch. Not quite sure why it's called that. It doesn't taste like a hippo. It is quite simple and very good (it would be better with salt). I got very hungry this morning between breakfast and lunch. A green no fruit smoothie and a small bowl of oatmeal doesn't go very far when you eat it at 6am and lunch rolls around at 1pm. Ah, well, I didn't starve.
My mood wasn't that great today. Mostly, I think, due to the fact that I didn't have my one cup of coffee. The body is going through a bit of withdrawal there. But, hey! One down and 25 more to go.
Well, folks, that's all for now. I'm flat out, pure-D tired. The first day of this journey has been a little rough. Thanks for coming along. I'm glad of the company.
Signing off for now. Sweet dreams and Happy Sabbath!
