Day 3: We Shall Not Give Up

This evening's post is going to be a short one.  All in all it hasn't been an unpleasant day.  The green no fruit smoothie at breakfast was really the only dark cloud (well, except for the ones gathering outside this morning).  We choked it down and ate our delicious oatmeal.  We ate a rather late breakfast and so did not eat the Hippo Soup at lunch.  Well, Mom did, but I didn't.  I had an appointment for mani/pedi.  I felt queasy off and on all afternoon.  Don't know why.  It wasn't the queasy I associate with being hungry and not eating, either.

Mom is still having some achiness in her joints, especially in her hips when she walks.  I can hear the cry of "Release the toxins!" as they make their way out of her body and mine.  It's not easy, this green no fruit smoothie thing, but it is a necessary evil.

Dinner was a baked potato and that yummy tomato-cucumber salad.  That is a wonderful salad and I told Mom I think we need to add it to our menu sometime.  Later, I was doing a few things on my computer (buying tickets for Wicked!  SCHWEET!) and Mom said, "Oh, dear.  We forgot the green smoothies, didn't we? Guess I better make them now."  I looked at her and replied, "You don't need to make them on my account.  If you want one, that's fine, but don't go to any extra trouble for me."  She smiled and said, "Ok then, I won't.  For either of us."  She doesn't like it any better than I do.  Hee hee!

She is so thrilled that we only have one more day to go for Part I of Phase I.  This phase is the colon cleanse.  Part II starts on Tuesday and it's one court of green fruit smoothies at each meal.  Did I mention we get to add FRUIT?  No?  We get to add mixed berries the first day.  Each day calls for a new fruit to be added.  YUM! Good thing I brought home my Redneck Guzzler.  I'm going to need it.

Sweet dreams, adventurers.  See you in the movies!
